Yesterday, the KSP received a complaint from the parent of a juvenile reporting sexual contact may have taken place within the last month between a juvenile and James Embry. Embry currently serves as a police officer for the city of Morgantown in Butler County.

Due to the suspect being a police officer, the complaint was referred to the KSP Special Investigation Section in Bowling Green. Today, investigators conducted interviews, and as a result, determined there was enough probable cause for the arrest of Embry.

Embry, 26, was arrested at the Morgantown Police Department just after 5 p.m. and lodged in the Butler County Jail where he was charged with first degree sexual abuse and custodial interference. Both offenses are class D felonies.

The investigation is continuing by Det. Dan Morck with the KSP Special Investigations Section.
