WHITFIELD COUNTY, Ga. — UPDATE: Whitfield County Deputy Sheriff Justin Litzenberg has been released from jail on $15,000 bond.
Whitfield County Sheriffs arrested Litzenberg on warrants out of Bartow County for child molestation, false imprisonment and cruelty to children.
Litzenberg was placed on administrative leave without pay following his arrest.
He has worked as a Deputy Sheriff with Whitfiled County for the past two-and-a-half years.
The Whitfield County Sheriff’s Department arrested a Whitfield County Deputy Sheriff on warrants for child molestation, false imprisonment and cruelty to children.
Twenty-three-year-old Justin Litzenberg was arrested at his apartment without incident.
Litzenberg’s warrants were out of Bartow County, Georgia.
He has been working for the Sheriff’s Office for the past two-and-a-half years.
Litzenberg was placed on administrative leave without pay after his arrest.
He was taken back to Bartow County by the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office.
The Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office will initiate an administrative investigation on the circumstances surrounding his arrest.
