SEE IT: Trio of NYPD cops beats Bronx man angry over parking ticket as he lies on the ground

The NYPD is investigating a disturbing video that shows a group of officers punching in the face a 50-year-old Bronx man pinned to the ground.

The video, taken from a passing bus on 149th St. near Cauldwell Ave. in Mott Haven about 10 a.m. Dec. 31, shows three uniformed cops repeatedly striking Heriberto Nunez in the face after he was on the ground.

“Why they beating him?” Alexis Jasmin asks as she recorded the one-minute, 22-second video on her phone. “His face is bleeding. They hit him in the face for no reason.”

Police sources said that Nunez lashed out at police after they gave his car a ticket.

He was resisting arrest when cops brought him to the ground, the sources said. The officers hit him as they tried to cuff his hands behind his back.

Nunez can be heard in the video screaming at the cops as they pick him up and threw him against a police van.

Jasmin was on her way to a hair appointment when she recorded the video.

When she put the video on Facebook, she admitted that Nunez said “a few choice words” at the cops after getting the ticket.

The cops were about to leave but got out of their car and placed him under arrest.

“Please tell me why the cops got out the van, snatched him out of his car and proceeded to do this to him,” she wrote. “Please explain to me why the officer kept bashing his face like that.”

“This is exactly why I hate the police,” she added.

The cops involved have not been disciplined but the NYPD’s Internal Affairs Bureau is reviewing what happened, officials said.

Nunez was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration. He was released without bail.
