Off-duty NYPD detective arrested for driving drunk near Brooklyn College

An off-duty NYPD detective was arrested Monday for driving drunk after he slammed into several parked cars in the middle of the day near Brooklyn College, police said.

Detective Jermaine Clark, 36, crashed his 2010 Honda while driving down Glenwood Road near E. 22nd St., about 12:30 p.m. Sunday, police said.

The crash happened just a block from the college campus in Midwood.

No injuries were reported.

Off-duty NYPD sergeant probed for pulling gun in confrontation

Responding officers noticed that Clark had bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and the smell of alcohol on his breath at the scene, according to officials.

Clark, a nearly 13-year veteran of the force, was charged with driving while his ability was impaired and refusing to take a breath test.
