WOOSTER: A former Wayne County sheriff’s deputy pleaded guilty last week to a charge of aggravated assault stemming from engaging in sexual conduct with a female inmate at the county jail in 2015.
Kenneth R. Linz II, 30, of Wooster originally was charged with two counts of sexual battery, but one count was amended to the assault charge and the other was dismissed, according to court records.
He is scheduled to be sentenced April 25 in county Common Pleas Court. Linz was indicted in September 2016.
