RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A Wake County Sheriff’s Office deputy is facing charges after causing a wreck Monday morning on Creedmoor Road, a North Carolina State Highway Patrol trooper said.
The crash happened at approximately 7:20 a.m. on Creedmoor Road just north of Mt. Vernon Church Road in Raleigh when a deputy rear-ended a Ford Edge, which then caused the Edge to slam into the back of a Honda Accord, which then hit a Ford Focus.
The deputy faces a charge for failure to reduce speed.
Only minor injuries were reported. The driver of the Edge was transported to the hospital as a precaution.
The deputy’s name has not been released.
