Citrus County deputy arrested on prostitution charge; fired from agency

HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. – Authorities arrested a 31-year-old Citrus County deputy Wednesday on a prostitution charge stemming from an incident back on July 4.

Robert Granger had been with sheriff’s office for just over a year.  Now he is out of a job and facing criminal charges.

The arrest took place in Hernando County. A release from the sheriff’s department said the charges against Granger were in relation to “solicitation and engaging in prostitution.”

The Citrus County Sheriff’s Office said an internal affairs investigation was underway.
