Three Alabama cops were suspended with pay Monday after videos shared online showed officers dragging three people out of an apartment.

Various versions of the footage showed a Tuscaloosa Police officer fire a stun gun at one of the University of Alabama students while another officer beat him on the back with a baton while he was on the ground.

Tuscaloosa Police Chief Steve Anderson told a newsconference Monday he was “deeply disturbed and disappointed by the way officers responded.”

Anderson identified the suspended officers Tuesday as Officer James Kent, Officer Phillip Champion and Officer Gregory Pimm.

Police said they were called to the property because of a complaint about loud music at around 3:20 a.m. Sunday morning, hours after the Alabama Crimson Tide hosted the Louisiana State University Tigers in Tuscaloosa.

“We’re going over a lot of video and it’s going to take us a while,” the chief said. “This investigation unfortunately does not move at the speed of the Internet.”

Three students were arrested in the incident, Anderson added. One is accused of harassment, obstructing justice and resisting arrest, and the other two each accused of obstructing justice and resisting arrest.
